Our 2nd Annual Rooster Fest Ruled!

Over 500 people came out to our Second Annual Rooster Fest on July 9th, 2023. It was hotter than a Billy goat in a pepper patch but we more fun than a box of kittens. We want to express our appreciation for the staff and volunteers who did fantastic job and worked their tails off all day long and into the night.

We were extremely proud to have 2 of the finest vocalists in the Midwest, (and their stellar bands) Mighty Miss Erica and Ivy Ford kick off the festivities. Later that evening, the Jimmy's, back from a 1200 mile/3-day trip, finished up the party with impressive energy! Stay tuned for dates for Rooster Fest 2024.

Patron of the Month - Reid Gromnicki

Stephen Hull (L) and Reid Gromnicki (R)
You've probably seen Reid at any numerous music events throughout Madison. He is a very special friend of the Rooster since the beginning. Check out more about him here:

What do you remember about the first time you visited the Red Rooster?
The first time I was at the Rooster was for the grand opening for the Jimmy's. The staff was slammed but they were troopers and handled it great. What a great team of staff they have there.

What is your go-to drink or menu item of choice at the Rooster?
It varies. I just usually get a Whiskey & 7 but the specialty cocktails are great too! I haven't had a bad one. For food, I love the Fredo burger and the Jazzed up burger. Chef Fredo's soup choices are always delicious.

Describe other Red Rooster patrons in three words.
chill family friendly

If you could have ANY band play at the Rooster, who would it be and why?
A band I love to see there would be one of my favorites, JD McPherson cuz he plays that kind of roots rock rockabilly bluesy rowdy vibe. He has a great energy and he will have everybody moving on the dance floor. Always a great show!

Anything else to say to our readers, Reid?
"I love you all so much."
