Paul Filipowicz

Southern Wisconsin’s King of Roadhouse Blues, Paul Filipowicz, plugs in and powers up! Paul grew up in the Chicago area – embracing the raw intensity of guitarists such as Magic Sam and Hound Dog Taylor. In his half-century around southern Wisconsin (with occasional detours to Texas), he’s honed a driving blues power trio sound that matches his other passions – vintage Ford flathead V-8 engines and Noir Pulp Fiction. An inductee to the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame with over a dozen recordings, Paul never fails to “dress to impress” in bright and bold-colored suits and shirts.
