Red Rooster presents a night of new Americana music with two new bands packed to the brim with Madison music veterans – The Also-Rans and Dogtown Hollow.
The Also-Rans debuted at Red Rooster in January 2023. Four veterans of the music scene bring all their talents and experience to bear, creating a sound that encompasses elements of American and indie rock, played with emotion and finesse. They’ve been called “crisp Americana” and are already pulling down slots during Orton Park Fest and on the Memorial Union stage.
Dogtown Hollow is the newest creation by James Spartz (Jim James and & The Damn Shames). This new roots-rock Americana band has a singer-songwriter soul and a rock ‘n roll heart.
