Singer/songwriter Mark Croft projects a percussive urgency in much of his roots-rock material, akin to Willy Porter. He’s a 15-time MAMAs Awards winner; other awards include Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting (for “One Mississippi”) in the Great American Songwriting Contest; and a Top-10 National Finalist in the JBL EON “One Take Contest.”
The Madison, WI based group has played together for more than 15 years, performing their mix of award-winning originals and country-tinged covers from artists like Steve Earle, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash & Chris Stapleton.
Isthmus Magazine notes: “He’ll play the prettiest thing you ever heard, then do a 180 and start cranking on that acoustic like there’s no tomorrow, creating a freight train of a groove that drives right through you. It doesn’t matter the genre, Mark can play it.”
