Singer/songwriter Mark Croft projects a percussive urgency in much of his material, akin to Willy Porter. He’s a 14-time MAMAs Awards winner; other awards include Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting (for “One Mississippi”) in the Great American Songwriting Contest; and a Top-10 National Finalist in the 2016 JBL EON “One Take Contest.”
Isthmus Magazine notes: “He’ll play the prettiest thing you ever heard, then do a 180 and start cranking on that acoustic like there’s no tomorrow, creating a freight train of a groove that drives right through you. It doesn’t matter the genre, Mark can play it.”
